Sanjay Prakash Sood specializes in Healthcare Technology (verticals:Telemedicine/HealthcareIT & Medical Equipment Technology), his rich experience (14+ years) spans various geographies. Sood is an executive with a global outlook and has pioneered eHealth/Telemedicine projects in India, Benin and Mauritius. He has been a Telemedicine Consultant to the World Health Organisation.

For over two years he was Healthcare Technology Consultant for a World Bank's project at Chandigarh (India). He is also a Telehealth Expert on the panel of United Nations (UN Office for Outer Space Affairs, Vienna) and has been contributing for UN-OOSA since 2006. He has also been the Principal Resource Person (Medical Informatics) for C-DAC, India and was the project manager for a USD 1.5 million national pilot project that lead to the implementation of Telemedicine in India's three leading tertiary level hospitals.

Sood has authored over fifty publications & articles (technology implementations, trends & perspectives, technology adoption studies etc.) on cutting edge applications of IT in healthcare, he is serving on the editorial boards, panel of peer reviewers for leading international journals (like IEEE), organizations, publishers (like Wiley, USA) and conferences.

Sood is a member of Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society's (HIMSS) Global Task Force on Electronic Health Records, he has also been a member of the Executive Council of International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth. For over four years, Sood was the Director (founder), C-DAC Operations in Mauritius and is presently coordinating Healthcare Informatics activities at C-DAC Mohali. He has extensively travelled overseas and his network includes global pioneers and leading international experts in the domain of HealthcareIT.
